Helsinki City's website UI Design

While working at Agenda Helsinki I got to re-design Finland's capital city Helsinki's website. I did the design under a supervision of a more senior designer from Agenda Helsinki. Our responsibility was to redesign the website UI to match Helsinki City's renewed graphic identity, originally created by Werklig.

The underlying site structure had to be left untouched, but we brought new font styles and created new elements based on the identity's wave element. Everything was also tested on accessibility that Helsinki city emphasizes a lot in their services. The accessibility requirements from Helsinki also impacted some interactive elements, like the menu. Helsinki city's website reached the highest AAA accessibility category based on WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
